 What Makes Great Teaching? Great, effective teaching is that which leads to improved student achievement using outcomes that matter to their future success. I selected the questions from the modules that best described strategies that were flexible and empowering. I picked how do we talk about issues that matter because it is extremely important in education and in life to talk about issues that matter with people. That will help us connect better with people and learn about others' experiences and opinions. We need to put all of ourselves into conversations with people on topics that matter, so we can have honest communication and hopefully learn something from them.  What Does Money Really Have To Do With it? It's well known that teachers and schools don't get the proper funding needed to do the things we want for our students. In the article it said that the add-on weights for the students who need more support haven't been updated since 1984 and that they should be doubled or more. This is upsetting to me because students that need more help should get the proper funding for the accommodations they need. It surprised how the different school districts with different property tax incomes effects the different schools around them. The schools that make the most money and have the least amount of students make out the best and the lower-level schools don't get enough money and they struggle. It's unfair for those schools and the students in them because they get less opportunities and don't get the proper tools to learn.
